F' me man....those things are no joke. I went for a ride in one at Playland when they had a emergency vehicle expo.....kind of like taste of lexus, but with a bunch of cops and police cars instead.

I've been pulled over by one in Manhattan once, failure to yield to pedestrian in the crosswalk

I didn't get a ticket though, the cop was real nice about it and I even complimented his department on their new vehicles, some of them are SRT-8

 

Seems to be a trend, not just in NY but all over the country. Have seen a few in Tennessee, Georgia, as well as Maryland. Mostly State Police tho.

 

NYPD doesnt have SRT-8's

They bought a few V6's and 10 of the 5.7L Hemi's. The SRT-8s come with a bored out hemi to 6.1L and some other stuff. Police package Charger is plain as can be, with beefed suspension components, rear end and the hemi.

I have some video of the Police charger hitting some auto-x style cone setup in a parking lot. anyone care for it?

 

yeah I've seen those here in MD, but only in howard county.

Yep. They are all over 95 in the Philly city limits. Been out there since late spring. Everytime Im on that highway, they have someone pulled over, even a few bikes. They are a little excited right now.

 

Yea, Maryland State Troopers have a few Ummarked ones coming online. Can't wait to be chased down by one. ~SIKE~

 

Due to NYS Trooper deaths with rear impacted Ford CrownVics, they moved to Dodge.

I have seen a few All Black with cop search light patrolling the Northern State Pkwy and Grand Central Pkwy here. Seen a few pull folks over too

 

all black? are you sure? NYSP has been using blue for so long. Maybe unmarked but..i dont know if they are going to all be black, they are surely going to be blue w/ amber reflective stripe down the side.

I just got in, got pulled over on Southern State Parkway around like Valley Stream (just a mile or two after it breaks off from the Belt) by a BLACK charger, I was haulin *** at 90ish mph in the left lane and blew by what seemed like a normal charger in the middle lane. That bastard came into the left lane about 3 car lengths behind me and followed me for about half a mile and then suddenly two lights in the dash went on red/blue and the hi beams started flashing. Sure enough he and his buddy came over to me, gave me a sobriety test (I had not been drinking, not even a beer since 3pm), hit me with a ticket for 14 over instead of getting me for 35 over
