Rick, I understand every insurance company and policy can be different. But do be aware though you may carry $500 or even $1000 for deductible on collision/comprehensive, MANY policies cover windshield replacement at a standard $100 deductible.

In other words, windshield replacement deductible amount can be different (and much lower) than the "normal" deductible for your policy.

 

Thanks, buy no such luck. I changed companies 6 months ago and my current carrier, Kemper, wouldn't go wiith a lower ded on my coverage limits.........................

 

We were pleasantly surprised to discover this when we called our insurance, as my wife had just raised our deductible, and we figured we had shot ourselves in the foot with this windshield situation... $100 for a $1600 (dealer price) windshield replacement? I'll take it!
