Default Neloc Opinions Wanted

Alright Smitty, you've talked her into it Kim has decided to toy with the old school ES a little. Now keep in mind this is a winter vehicle (need the FWD here for the snow) so we're not going crazy with it, just a little sprucing up. I mounted my 17" 5 stars on it today just to get a look. We wanted to see what you guys thought. Keep the 17's or go aftermarket (probably 18's. Something just doesnt look right to us, maybe it needs a fuller wheel? We're looking to possibly buy an SC430 to have fun with next year, but the ES will still be around to get up the snowy mountains. Anyway here's the before and after shots.

If you don't lower it, bigger rims will only make it look more awkward. I remember reading about this illusion, the fender gap should be narrower than the width of your sidewall, or else its going to look lifted.

Looks good, lower just a bit to get rid of some of the gap, 35% tint on the windows to darken up just a bit and clear theorange reflector from the front headlights. Also hids to complete the look.

There are defintely more body kit options for that version ES300 than mine so if she's got options.

If it was up to me I would get some tint and a nice system on that ES...Keep it nice and tasteful... Since your car is a daily driver, I wouldn't change the suspension because it's not going to have that soft OEM ride...

Thanks guys, no Tuddy def not leaving the GS family. I guess a little drop wouldn't hurt, I don't think that will affect the winter driving much. If I go with a kit, I'll probably switch out the wheels for something else. Thanks for the pics Sean, I've been looking around a little but haven't seen any two tones with a full kit, let alone the same color as ours. I guess we'll just kick around some ideas for a while. Like I said, I don't want to get to involved with it, too many other projects in the works. Smitty you'll have a riding partner before long

Drop it a bit ...definitely. Only other thing I would suggest]sad if you even want to spend that much into it..is wheels and get the car done all in one color.

Two tone

Unfortunately our area is VERY strict on tint, I may throw some on the GS just to see if I get away with it for a while. As far as the SC goes it will probably be black.

don't do too much to it. if your getting an sc430 (once again, trying to out do me ) next year it's going to lower the car's value if you do any suspension work to it and if you do get the suspension you'll have to switch it back and forth from old suspension to new and vice versa once you plan on selling the car to try and keep some of the car's value.....with a spare set of suspensions trying to sell before you buy a new car.........it's just time consuming. Also, It's towards the end of summer already, roughly 2 months away from cold weather. I don't think Kim is much of a "Speed Demon" weaving in and out of traffic so much that she needs to have less body roll. I say if you know your buying a new car.....just wait on accessorizing unless it's something little, like a system or tint.....or wheels that will look good on the new car also. Put yourself in her shoes. Give her the GS for a day and take the ES and tell us what you would do when you know that your planning to buy a new car next year most likely sometime before summer, anywhere from March to June being that your going to want alot of time to ride it before winter comes around again.
