Verizon or T-mobile?
I have Verizon and I have a Treo but I'm thinkin about rollin to NEXTEL. I've just been having so many problems with my phone and Verizon isnt helpin either. This is my 3rd Treo. I must admit that one time it was my fault. Word of advice Never try to check a text message while riding your bike. You'll just drop it like I did.
do bicycles count? Ive dropped my old phones while trying to text while riding my bicycle back in the day. Once i dropped it and a car ran it over but nothing happened to the phone....not even a scratch.

My T-mobile setup:
-1500 whenever nationwide minutes 39.99
-400 text + 400 multimedia messages 4.99
-Port 8080 internet + email 4.99
not bad at all.
I used to sell T-mobile, sprint and cingular so i know how these things work.

Here's another option. Go to a t-mobile store, pick out a phone, pick out a plan, setup an account. You've got 14 days to revoke the contract with T-mobile. Just bring the phone back to the store and get them to uninstall the contract.
they give you 14 days to test drive the service.
you'll have to pay for the minutes at a prorated charge. and you'll have to pay the 35 dollar activation fee after the first 3 days of use.

Like he said, I've had my service with Nextel over 8 years now, yes I do get 10,000 mins a month and I have the i930 so I have the Unlimited Data Access Plan and Premium Web and I have a Corporate Account that gives me a little discount on the bill
Verizon for the last 10 years or something like that. I had AT&T, Sprint, Cingular (when they were independent). I like the coverage if Verizon especially since I live in NYC. Also, my girlfriend, family, most friends all have Verizon, so every call I make is free. That In Network thing is great. I think I generally use over 2000 minutes a month, but never go over my minimum plan's (39.99) allotted monthly minutes. I also have phone envy (Sprint and Cingular seem to get all the cool phones first) but I can live with my barebones phone. I mostly use it for phonecalls only. But when my 2 year contrat is over, I'm renewing for 2 years and getting the Motorola Razr V3.
I recently signed w/ T-mobile. I have no regrets so far, the phone gets better reception than my Nextel. I have been w/ Nextel for 3 years and their service is not bad at all but the Tmobile phone is getting better reception in areas where my Nextel was not doing so good. I'm just sick of those expensive phone bills for Nextel. Thanks guys for your replies.
