Ok, before I get flogged for not Googling this, I did. Just want a quick clarification.

I read that the 2015 NX300h can go 10k miles between oil changes. However, when I Google 2015 Lexus NX300h maintenance schedule it shows that every 5k miles I should be doing the oil change on multiple articles that come up. I purchased the car from my Grandpa with 40k miles on it. I did an oil change at that time just to get on a schedule. I've recently crossed 45k miles and was going to wait until 50k miles... but don't want to overdo the mileage.

I'm using the OEM rated oil (0W-20 or 30, can't remember and a Lexus filter).

My initial thought is just DIY every 5k because that's the schedule for my Tacoma and it would be easier to remember 5k increments for both vehicles. But I just wanted to double check.

 

You can bring up the maintenance schedule on the Lexus.com site for all models and years.
Using the synthetic 0W20 oil means 12 month/10k oil changes. If it was done at 40k, your good till 50k.
Just make sure to check oil level and top up if needed.
