Unhappy Oil Change and air filter...

Ok. First... Is there one kind of air filter that will work better than the rest ? I heard of one kind that will help my gas milage. Also, how much would it cost to get the air filter changed? And would changing that improve my gas milage?

Now, are there any mods I can make to my engine ('93 ES 300) that will improve my horsepower? I was thinking maybe of a cold air intake, but I was sure how much that would cost. Any answers or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks...

all your answers can be found if you use the SEARCH function.

There is a thead just recently for air filters,
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=87922.
The dealer charges about $15 for the Denso filter and it is easily changed yourself. Of course a dirty filter will give you poor performance.

Hot Rod magazine has been running columns where they do side by side comparisons of different products for the garage mechanic, oil filters, air filters, etc. Air filters were covered in the June 2002 issue.

As for horsepower improvements......not a whole hell of alot if any. Sorry wrong car to try to do that on.
