Default Rear brake rotors pitted

2006 Lexus RX 400h looks like the rear brakes are not engaging much at all. The rotors and pads are not worn but the rotors are pitted from so much rust from not being engaged in braking. If the tire is off, I can see the pads moving slowly closed without much enthusiasm. Is it okay to try to bleed the lines in the rear to see if there is air in the line on this hybrid? Or what other caused should I be looking for?

Being in Ohio and the year of the car, I'd bet that the guide pins are the issue, not air in the line.

Okay thanks, I can check that. Does that still make sense if both sides of the back are the same? but not the front?

If both slider pins on the back calipers are seized yeah, and need to take the caliper apart usually 2 17mm bolts.

Okay thanks. Cold and snowy here this morning, but I will get the caliper pins and change them out first nice day.
