Is $90 for oil/filter change right??!
Called Longo Lexus for first oil change and was quoted $90...is that right? I think this includes rotating tires (cannot do, staggered wheel setup), topping fluids (not necessary), checking brake pads (again not necessary since I bought the car CPO back in Feb. of this year). So basically, they're charging $90 just for oil/filter change. Can I just go over to Longo Toyota and do the oil change (I'm sure they also do all the checking)? Do they use the same oil/filter? I think I've read on this forum that they do or use something very similar, but want a definite answer.
Thanks.
Thanks.
rookie - just say you want only the oil change and ask for the cost of that. It's $35 at my dealer I believe, which I find reasonable since they check fluids, clean the car nicely too. I'd rather have a Lexus dealer do it than try to save $5-10 by getting it done by some high school drop out at a Jiffy Lube type place.

If you ask just for the oil change, they should charge $40-$50 (here in CA). I've done this at No. Cal. Lexus dealerships, b/c I like having my major services done down in So. Cal. at Keyes Lexus

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am going to go in and just ask for oil/filter change. Worst comes to worst, I'll leave if it's too much. Come to think of it, it might be a minor service, because the mileage is a little over 50K.
I do my oil change myself, but if you dont want to I would go to Toyota. Down here I think they charge like $30 and wont rip you off. Plus they do all the other inspections if you ask them to, no charge most likely.
