Default difference between 470/landcruiser ???

Hello...

I am fast approaching the 60k mile c/u and my husband and myself are in a disagreement over where to take my lx 470. He says the local Toyota dealership (which is two miles from our house) can do the exact same work since they are the same car as the Landcruiser. The Toyota dealership wants $590 and the Lexus dealer wants $850. We are a good 45 min from the Lexus dealer but my contention is that there are parts on the 470 that the Landcruiser does not have and I am afraid they will get overlooked. Does anyone know if the Landcruiser has (active height control suspension fluid, charcoal canister???, ) These are not listed in the Toyota manual for 60k service as well as a few other things that do not sound as major. I have only had the car for two months, but all other services were performed as well as regular oil changes. Any input or similar experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks

idsrvit,
bring in your own 60k mile service list... including your active height control suspension fluid, charcoal canister etc etc and have the toyota service writer give you a quote. It will probably cost a bit more then $590 but still less then $850 and he's closer

Regards

Toyota can handle it...............do not mess with the charcoal canister or the active height control system at all.. you're sking for trouble....stick to the basics,.......fluids, brake check, check belts/hoses, spark plugs ( for piece of mind when buying a used car) any questions feel free to PM me...

The service schedule varies from dealer to dealer.I would say call few Lexus service dept and make out a list of things that needs to be done. Now call your Toyota service dept and ask them for the quote or better yet have one of the Toyota Master Mechanic do the work on the side and save even more.Toyota and Lexus 90% same thing except the LX 470 suspension.
