Air Con motor always on problem
Hi,
I'mlooking for a little advice to try to diagnose this problem with 2010 RX450h.
WhenI press the Start button the Aircon motor starts and always is running. Evenwhen stationary and the temperature inside is below the target set temperature.
It’sjust started doing this. Normally the car would be silent when stationary.
IfI set the A/C to “off” the motor stops as expected hence I suspect it’s the A/Cmotor running continuously for some reason. Could this be a sensor faultsomewhere?

I had a similar issue in my Lexus and learned to discover that our cars uses the AC not only to cool, but to dehumidify if set in Auto.
In other words, at least in my car, it will come on even if I have it in heat mode, or a high-desired cabin temperature.
You can turn this off through one of the customization settings, where the AUTO button will automatically kick on or off the AC as needed, depending on conditions. At least in my car you can (LS 460). I would presume it might be similar in yours.
