Dear Friends, I own a 2002 Lexus sc430. Do you all know if there is an engine management system for this car for tuning purposes? I have searched the forums as well as manufacturers such as AEM and MSD with no luck. Any advice is much appreciated!

 

To my knowledge, unless you have massive mods, there is not one. Most who go the turbo or swap route end up going with a standalone setup as its easier than piggybacking off the OEM software/hardware setup.

 

What are you looking to do?

Almost any engine management can be wired in to support that motor. Getting all the interior electronics to work properly may be a different situation though.

AEM Infinity is the first one that comes to mind that supports drive by wire, etc. The biggest issue will also be transmission control.

You could always do what us IS300 guys do and that is to wire a standalone in conjunction with the factory ecu - that way the factory ecu controls transmission and electronics while the standalone does fuel and spark.
