My buddy and I are replacing the strut cartridges in his 91 ES250, and noticed there are no dust seals / boots protecting the strut shafts, nor bump stops on any of the shafts.
Is this normal? Or was some previous owner just really, really lazy and didn't put them back on?
Is it correct to assume we can use Camry equivalents (since the struts are nearly identical anyway)?
There are suppose to be boots protecting the strut shafts and there are bump stops on shafts also(all 4). Im not sure about the strut being the same part as the camry. Ive put in monroe struts in mines and they are great. KyB are also good too.
