Default Engine Code 1133

Interpretation???? I use OBD II and this is the Toyota code. Manual says "Air-Fuel Sensor Circuit Response Malfunction." Yeah, right

I need another book to interpret the codes. THis is a friend's car and I continue to reset it. It continues to come back. She doesn't have the funds to carry car in to Lexus. Just hoping one of you know enough to help.

well, what year/make/engine is the car? i have a book of some codes but 1133 doesnt exist. just a quick check if it is a 1mzfe engine: pop open the hood, and look for cracks along the ribbed portion of the air hose.

'99 ES300. She says that sometimes her gas cap gets so tight that she will have to get someone nearby to twist it off.

I still have her car. I'll be sure and check out the plastic housing from the air filter to the engine. Thanks.

OOOOKaaaaay,

Where exactly is the A/F sensor?

On the exhaust manifold toward the firewall(bank 1). You can look from the driver side you will see the A/F sensor(look just like the Oxygen sensor) mounted on the exhaust manifold.
