Never required, unless upon inspection you find that there is an issue with one or more... While you are doing the plugs though, its never a bad idea to do the wires at the same time...

What year, and are you sure yours has wires at all? I can't recall, but at some point, the V8's went to coil on plug instead of using distributors... With the mileage on the car, if it has distributors, I would say its recommended at the same time to do the cap and rotors...

If you have plug wires, you can check to see if they are good or not by checking their resistance..but I'm not 100% sure what spec is supposed to be. I was always told 12-15k ohms per foot? don't quote me on that though!

If you are going to replace them, I would recommend against the brand called Valuecraft carried by autozone.

Toyota/Lexus (should be Denso), Bosch, and even Duralast (another AZ brand, but better) are all acceptable.

Your car doesn't use spark plug wires. OEM spark plug is DENSO SK20R11, Long Life Iridium, will last about 100k miles.

Denso and NGK are the OE plugs... Iridium if you want 100k miles on them, Double tipped platinum should get you 60k and copper, 15-30k...
