Brake Job
I was quoted 260 dollars to turn rotors, new pads, etc.
Thats a complete brake job for 260 total.
Is that a good price?
Its from a very reputable brakes only place, they have one of the nicest automotive facilites ive seen and they only do brakes.

Turning rotor is about $10/piece, if they are using Lexus stock pads, $60/front, $40/rear. You are looking at 10x4+60+40=$140 parts. The rest $120 would be labor.
Usually those big brake chains use their only brand of replacement pads which is way worst than stock pads. I'd bring in my own pads if you want them to do the labor.

Lexus Champion
Are they use factory pads or one of their own? The aftermarket pads will use harder compound and it will eat up your rotors and a lot of noise. In GA, brake job at Lexus dealer is $220.00 and still expensive, but depending where you live. Call Lexus dealer and get a quote. $260.00 still too much from the brake shop. I don't care how the shop looks.

A I just did my own brakes and it took about five minutes per wheel. To have your rotors turned it is about ten bucks and I got the lifetime pads from Murrays auto parts store, I would do them my self unless you cant get the calipers off the rotors. but thats just me I am into saving money and I like working on cars.
