Dead GS please help
I try to turn my GS on and get a clicking noise like the battery is dead. Well I try it again and the engine almost turn over and then quits. Third time the car finally starts but I have to gas it at the beginning just to keep the car on. I get on the highway later that night and notice when I hit my brakes the headlights dim. I have already took the battery to a local parts store and they said the batt has tested good and is holding charge. Now im totally confused cause I am having this problem every morning Could I have a short in my car some where? What do you think guys? Thanks in advance.

Probably your altenator thou.

Is this a pretty accurate test?
Could be the alternator as PCMW stated. Especially if the headlights dim when you hit the brakes. Let us know what the problem was once you get it resolved. I had a dead battery in my 98 GS4 before I got my GS430 and the symptoms you describe are not that of a battery problem from my experience.
K10's-GS4 ,
It is reliable but I wrote the thing backwards... sorry
If the 12v battery cable touches the body or ground of the car ANYWHERE in the vehicle....you will get a reading that is pretty low....meaning...there is little resistence between the two connections...
If the meter reads high...then that means that little to no power is being leaked out over the ground.

Well, took the GS to my dealer and they said they did a load test and the batt, starter, and alternator all checked out good. They said they couldnt find a problem and that the car seemed to start up right away. Well the very next morning after getting the GS back the same problem exist. Now I am stupmed and have no idea what could be wrong.

Man ohhh man....
I think you need to pull the altenator hit it with a wrench a couple times and get the crude out of it. Then re-install....it will work for a few more weeks and then crap out again.
How did they "test" the altenator... Did they pull it out?
Good luck.

If all of those components checked out well, then you need to check the connections (wiring) between them. A loose/dirty connection will cause the same symptoms as bad alt/starter/batt.
