Default Oil leak??

I recently bought a 2001 GS300, just wondering if there was a common spot where the 2jz-ge engine leaks from. I looked and no sign coming from the valve cover and oil pan. Only thing i noticed was it was coming from the timing belt cover gasket, the front plastic cover for the timing belt. Is there actually free floating oil in there?? Last time it checked it was a dry system. So if anyone who had this same problem could help with where exactly it might be it would be much appreciated.

It's your cam seals...If you haven't already done so I would do the 90K service and replace everything else while your in there...Otherwise just replace the seals

It can be your cam seals and/or crank seal.

Rear main seals have a habit of leaking on these motors.

If you do major maintenance, like the timing belt; the majority of the seals should be changed. The only exception would be the rear main seal, you'll have to pull the transmission to do that.

I had the same problem with mine, once you pull everything out to do the timing belt, you should change all the gaskets too. My leak came from the crank seal. It's only a few extra bucks for the seals so deff replaced them all since you'll be in there already.
