I just need to add a little coolant to my RX and the owner's manual says to only use "Toyota Long Life Coolant" or equivalent. My overflow coolant looks pink/red. Is that normal?
The manual says my coolant must contain ethylene-glycol type coolant for a proper corrosion protection.
Does anyone know the part number if I go to the Toyota dealership? I'm guessing I need to mix 50/50 with distilled water
There are two types of Toyota coolant, Long life and Super long life... the long life is red, and the super long life is pink. Your car takes the red stuff (looks lighter once mixed with water). Just ask for what the manual says, and you shouldnt have any problem. It comes in a bottle with a red cap.
