I need help in accessing the bulbs for replacement, how do I get into the tail light unit located inside, beneath the the rear window glass. The Manual calls it the High mounted stoplight but gives no clue how to get into it. LS 430

Grab the high mount light housing on the rear deck, slide to the left (as you're looking at it)

Lift housing away from the deck, the light fixture in the housing unlocks by turning counter-clockwise. Replace the pull-out bulb with a #7440 bulb, reverse above procedure, position housing over mounting holes & slide back to the right to lock.

 

That does not explain any better then the manual
