Default TPS Sensor

There was a post recently about the TPS sensor in the GS400's. I have a 98 that is running rough at idle. The dealer says they can find nothing wrong, no fault codes or anything. I remember a post on here about this...

I am in a little hurry, I need to order the part in a few hours to get the car back today, and I don't want to spend $250 if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance!!!

Default Pull the #39 fuse first

Try to pull the #39 fuse first for 20 minutes and then pull the negative battery terminal. Reinstall everything. If this works re post here. One guy said it worked for him.

That sensor should cost 250 installed! not just for the part.

The dealership I had mine replaced at said it cost about 135 for them under warrantee work and they charge 250 for customer charge.

I would hold off ordering the TPS sensor.

e-mail me at Colnago31@yahoo.com and I will give you the scoop

TPS sensor...

Is that like "ATM machine" and "PIN number"?

Do a search on this subject...

If your car is a 98, then it still should be under warrenty, that's if you don't have high mileage.
