Default 98 gs300 Hood won't close ..:-(

Hello Good people ..

The hood on my 98 gs300 will not close ..

Looks like the latch on the bottom stopped doing its job ..

Anyone come across this problem ??

Any idea what could be wrong ??

I had this problem in my 99 gs400. the cable would get stuck in the "open" position and would return to "closed" position after about an hour. I could never figure out how to fix or lubricate the cable. I'm sure a shop could grease it up though. Good luck

you could always add the extra security of hoodpins=P

u need to adjust ur latch.....line up the j hook from the hood down to the latch, making sure they lining up, if not, use a piece of wooden block n a hammer n hit the latch to make them line up rite

Have the exact problem, just pull the cable that is connected to the latch towards you a bit( or away from the latch). And just close the hood. Hope this helps.
