Default I think I have an axle problem...

I don't usually have many problems with my ES besides the old factor and plastic parts breaking, so this is a bit stressful. I can't describe my driving style but i can best describe it as "babying". Whenever I accelerate into right turns the car pops, stutters, jumps out of gear, lunges forward, and all that negative jargon. Only on right turns too, not going straight nor accelerating into left turns. For those who dont know i had the transmission replaced over a year ago by aamco and i believe the stearing rack had been replaced in the past. I'm thinking one of my cv joints is Fubar and needs to be replaced, but im done guessing what it is. Anyone have an idea?

Thanks all!

The bad axle will cause popping noise on turn, but not jump out of gear. I recommend get the proper diagnostic. It could be your pinion gear in the differential cause the problem too.

does sound like an internal trans issue to me...

I tell this to everyone at work all the time, techs, customers, etc - "just cause it's new doesn't mean it's good"

Thnx guys, I'm going to be taking it in to get a professional under the hood and pray it's just a bad axle piece at worst.

I think i'd cry if it were a transmission issue, Aamco's had to redo the tranny 3 times because it kept melting down. I'd rather buy another ES than go back there again.

Anyways, enough with my sob story, thanks again!

A good way to tell if the CV's going bad is to drive in a circle and have someone listening outside the car, popping noise indicates busted CV joint. But I don't think you should get any bucking and slipping like your talking about.
