Default 98 GS400 Wiper Blade Replacement

1. If cost is not an issue, why not replace the whole blade, instead if using the refills? Is the OEM arms that much stronger?

2. How often should blades be replaced, annually?

3. Can someone please detail how to replace the blades?

4. I bought 2 Rain X Blades from Target, anyone see any reason not to just go ahead and replace the 2 blades? I've had OEM since 2001.

1. The arms arent really a factor.. aftermarket or OEM, the arm isnt what does the cleaning. Id prefer OEM blades simply for fit/finish.. knowing they will 100% fit and work as designed.

2. I would say every 9-12 months. I just changed mine because they were starting to streak.. and my car is 9 months old.

3. There is a small tab on the bottom side of the center of the blade.. that will release it from the arm. Or simple slide out the inserts.

4. If you already purchased them, you can go ahead and replace them. Im not sure if they sell refills for those or not.. Its really up to you. Everyone has their own preference.
