1) Air Filter replaced every ? miles?
2) Oil every 3k miles?
3) Spark Plugs every ? miles?
4) Cabin Filter every ? miles?
What am I missing besides these four?
Here is what I do.
1. air filter: annually
2. cabin filter: annually, unless an odor develops in the A/C system sooner.
3. oil and filter: every 5000 miles.
4. fuel system treatment (Chevron w/Techron) every other oil change.
5. brake fluid flush: every two years or 30k miles.
6. wiper blades: every 6 months (New England weather kills wiper blades)
7. Spark plugs. The irridium spark plugs should last at least 90k miles. On my 02 ES I took a chance and changed them out at 60k. They were textbook perfect. I could have waited until the 90k service.
So is the Cabin filter only "used" when the AC is on? What about the using heat? I would assume that anytime you use the fan that the filter would be "used", am I wrong?

I believe anytime the air is pulled in from the outside or when you use that "depollenation" button on the dash board, the filter is used.
Shortly after I changed the filter last June, a mouse weed in my air ducts so the urine odor impregnated the filter and I had to replace it again even though the urine itself never touched the filter.
