Default Problems after engine cleaning

So...i decided to help my friend clean his 95 Altima's engine.
I covered all the electronics...starter, battery, fuse boxes, alternator, etc.
I used the gunk orange engine brite cleaner and hose.
After drying off the engine with towels, and removing the covered parts, the car was turned on and it was a little rough/shaky at first, but then settled to a normal idle. I revved it a little bit to warm the engine up (up to 3k rpm)
Then, after my friend took a drive to the supermarket, he said the check engine light turned on, battery light turned on, and the brake light turned on
He said the steering wheel was hard to turn the the brakes brake normally. The car also is misfiring.
Power steering pump?
I'm really hoping this is just a blown fuse, and spark plug change.
Any help/suggestions of how to diagnose the problems (before taking the car to the mechanic?)
