Appreciate all the responses. Just to follow up... I took the car to Pep-boys for another opinion and state inspection, and guess what ? They passed it and found no problems. Don't know if it's a case of other places ripping me off ( never mentioned this, but the Lexus dealer wanted 1200 bucks to inspect it as they found numerous susp. related repairs needed) or Pep-boys just not finding anything. The car rides and brakes very smoothly, btw.

Meantime I just bought a really nice 98 LS400 from a private party with all Lexus service records since new. A real gem, even with 105K on the clock. All major services including timing belt were done by the dealer too. Anyways, couldn't pass it up for 9K. Seemed like a very good price. It's also the color I wanted... Silver Jade Pearl !

Im guessing he's talkign about strut bars, and they are about $90 a peice last time i checked.
