O2 Sensor Error

Hello
I have been on here a few time and it is amazing how helpfull and knowledgeable folks are on here....my problem is this...
Last night my Check engine light came in so i went to a local shop who did a obd 1 diagnostic and said code 21 error came up,,,the main o2 sensor,,,,he is trying to sell me 3 bottle of syuff, 1 for the oil, 1 for the fuel, and another for I can not remember all for $70. Why is he trying to sell me this and what should I do about the code 21 ?
