Sparks coming from my A/C compressor
Well I just bought my 96 sc300 about a month ago and it has been running fine without any problems until this past weekend. I drove the car to orlando and on the way back to miami I was hitting about 110mph and the A/C light starting blinking and the A/C compressor cut off
. I turned it back on and the compressor cut out again after about 5-10 seconds and the A/C light started blinking again
. When I got home I opened the hood to see if I would be able to notice the problem, so I turned the A/C on and ran under the hood to find that the inner part of the A/C pully was not spinning and there were sparks coming out of it
. Does anyone have an idea if this is just the clutch that I need to replace or the whole unit?

What Narfy said, sounds like your clutch is locked up. Time for a fun replacement, if you do it yourself, it should run you no more than 250 bucks and about a couple hours.
