I just ordered a replacement filter from lexus-parts. It came, but it no longer has the plastic tray. Am I supposed to just place the filter element in the filter location in the glove box, or reuse the old plastic tray? I remember the filters used to be $50 and came with the plastic.

Just take the filter out. The plastic tray remains.
