Smelly Engine?

Smelly Engine?
In my 98 gs300, when I am driving, if i floor it and drive it hard, i can sometimes smell something that smells kinda burnt coming from my engine... the heat meter in the dash is close to Cool than hot, so i dunno what it is...
ex. I was driving home, and i see a nice straight with no traffic (or cops, i go this way regularly) and while rolling along at the 30 speed limit i floor the accelerator and get going 90 or 95. I arrive at my house 5 min later to smell something that smells like something burning, and the front of my car where the engine is making a ticking noise fairly fast. (and it was quite cold outside that day.)
help please

I would look under the vehicle on the exaust for any type of a plastic bag that got stuck and melted onto it.If there is no bag,then you might have an oil leak of somekind dripping and burning on the exaust.

well, if it helps i had my oil changed out about a month (or two) ago, and they said some oil got into the 'brace' (whatever that is.)... they didnt clean up the oil in the brace, they just let it sit.
