Question Paint Fading on Center Caps, need help.

Searched, but couldn't find an answer. I have a 2002 GS430 with the stock, 5-spoke, silver painted 17" rims_ and the center caps are starting to fade to a yellow-silver color, drives me crazy! Does anyone know the paint code # for the stock 17" rims_? Or perhaps a specific recommendation on a very close matching spray paint I can buy at the store? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you're near Ft. Lauderdale, I'd suggest visiting the Touchup Company ,near I-95 and Commericial I think. They specialize in exact paint matching of small jobs. It would be at least worth getting an an estimate.

I had the same problem on my ES. I just popped one of the center caps off, took it with me to the local auto parts store, and found a very close match for it in the touch-up paint aisle. Now they all look brand spankin' new again for less than $10

I'm actually near Tampa, a little too far, but if I can find an excuse to go to the east coast.....I might just have to stop by there.

I was thinking about this since it can't look any worse than it already does, do you remember which brand/shade of gray worked out for you?

It was a Canadian brand that I'm sure you wouldn't be able to find there, but if you take one of your centre caps into the store with you, you can quite easily match it, side by side, with the available shades. I used a silver colour, and looking at the centre caps now, I can't tell that they were ever in need of a paint job...they're like new.
