I just spoke to Lexus of Palm beach and the girl quoted me 449.95 for the 60k service. From looking over the PDF format of the 60k service they really do alot.. IS it worth getting it done at lexus? I change my own oil, all the brakes have been changed with in this last year and the tranny service was done before i got the car.. Should i take it down there and let lexus do the service or have my mechanic here do it?

Thanks

Tony

A trusted local mechanic or a local Toyota dealer are also options

The fluids need to be replaced...
along with a few odds and ends...

This includes:
Brake fluid - new is clear and turns tan/brown/black with age
Coolant and distilled water -
Power steering - Dexron III
Oil and Filter
Differential fluid - GL-5
Transmission fluid

Replace cabin air filter - check the K&N engine filter

Chassis inspection of the driveline...CV boots in sound condiction

Inspect for exhaust damage or exhaust leaks, any hanger damage

Suspension inspection of all rubber bushings

Shock or strut checks, including bushings

Inspection of steering rack and it's components.

Audio inspection of the engine running valve train

Check the rubber on the engine mounts

Check tire wear and pressures, indicating any allignment problems

Inspect for uneven brake rotor wear

Check A/C and Heater operations

I would recommend a couple of drain and fills, five hundred miles apart.
