I am new to the forum--have a 1992 Lexus 300 SC with a speedmeter that seems to be functioning except that it doesn't kick in until I reach 20 mph. I recently replaced the speedmeter cluster with a used one and the same thing happened. The odometer works but the speedomter won't kick in until it reachers 20 mph. Because of this it won't pass inspection. Is this a common problem with Lexus speedometers???? Any suggestions of where to look next?

 

Vehicle Speed Sensor may be going bad??? Although that usually will have an effect on your odometer. Now if you drive for 1 mile at 15mph will your odometer move?
