Cleaning Fouled Plugs

Default Cleaning Fouled Plugs

Guys,

I got some brand new NGK 1 step colder plugs to run with the supercharger. Fuel problems were making the car run very rich which has fouled the plugs. They are pretty expensive and have less than 50 miles on them. Can I clean them up or are they toast??

If I can fix them, what is the best way to go about cleaning them up??

I really don't want to drop another $200 on plugs that are <50 miles old

You can use the carbulator cleaner to clean the plugs and let it dry for about 10 minutes. I did this trick from time to time and its help save customer some money too. But when you get you the car running make sure you keep the idle up so the heat from the combustion chamber will burn all of the fuel deposit on the spark plugs away. Good luck..

I mean 10 minutes before you install them back.
