2000 LX470 Tranny Fill Location
I want to change the tranimssion fluid on my 2000 LX470 w/ 80K miles. I see the drain plug, but for the life of me, I can't find where you refill the fluid! I can't find a tranny dipstick either. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tammy is correct Koolaide man. It depends on your system.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (From August, 2003)
ADJUSTMENT
1. BEFORE TRANSMISSION FILL
This transmission requires Toyota Genuine ATF WS.
It is necessary to refill the transmission with the correct
amount of fluid.
The vehicle must remain level while adjusting the transmission
fluid level.
On vehicles equipped with active suspension, turn the
suspension control switch OFF if it is necessary to jack up
the vehicle with the engine running.
2. TRANSMISSION PAN FILL
(a) Remove the refill plug and overflow plug.
(b) Fill the transmission through the refill hole until fluid begins
to trickle out of the overflow tube.
(c) Reinstall the overflow plug.
No dipstick on some models!

and tammy said this in the thread u mentioned
The LS 430, GX 470 and LX 470 (Land Cruiser) started using the World Standard transmision fluid in 2004, and using it since. The fluid cannot be mixed with any other fluid types (Type-IV or Dexron III).
