Default BG 44K fuel cleaner

I understand this is supplied by Toyota and Lexus dealers, and often included in 30K, 60K and 90K services. How is the BG cleaner different than the off-the-shelf Chevron Techron fuel cleaner? Is it more effective or about the same? I usually do the Techron deal on my car 2 times a year, and have no problems with it.

I've heard its 10 times more concentrated than Techron.

I have a couple of friends that are techs at Honda and Lexus. I bum a couple of cans a year for my vehicles. This is the only stuff I have ever used (that is poured into the tank) that I noticed a difference. I do agree that Techron is supposed to be good also.

If someone finds a good place to get some post it up, I'm down to my last 2 cans from a case I bought a couple years ago, knew someone that worked at an auto supply warehouse and was able to order some at about $11 a can. Great stuff too!

It's great stuff and 10 times better than techron. I only used BG on my car, both oil and fuel additive.

Son, Seguin Texas has answered your prayers!

http://store.yahoo.com/wyattarpdodge/bgautprod.html

Does not match $11.00 a can though!

That's a good price, the Toyota dealer here want $17.50 a can.

They recommend every 15000 miles at the dealer.

This is all I've used but I'd be willing to try the BG.

Default Get BG from Toyota

I've also discovered that you can get a can of BG 44K at a discounted price from Toyota if you go to your specific dealer's website (for example, mine is http://www.toyotaoforlando.com), click on their "Parts Specials" or "Parts Coupons" link, and find the coupon for their fuel injector cleaner. Just print it out, bring it to Toyota and you should be able to get the BG can at a lower price

As far as I know...my Toyota dealer here in Mexico City does not sell this, but something else.

I use Restore fuel injection cleaner with one bottle of Techron and that seems to get rid of the gumming from the terrible Pemex gas.

Also would love to try BG 44K...but importing things down here is a pain.
