Inner Tie Rods -do they wear out?
Both outer have been replaced. It has a shimmy again so it stands to reason it has to be the inners (rotors are new). I've seen the photo's of inners and ask, What wears on them? They look like a solid rod with a bushing on the end.
Or could the steering rack be the problem?
Thanks,
JU

Suggest you have it put in the air and have the steering rack checked through it's entire lock to lock range, comparing the amount of play in the rack from lock to center by wiggling the front tires. I believe the inner tie rods are part of the rack assy. At the same time check for wear in the front wheel bearings and ball joints.

Turns out it was the rotors!!!
While I replaced the drivers side axle ($65.00 at Napa) (boot was ready to break) and replaced the ball joint ($40.00)(Why not replace it when you have to unbolt it anyway to replace the axle) I figured I'd toss on two new rotors ($41.00 ea - Checker).
Took 4 hours to complete the job. I figure I saved $200+ in parts markup and $350+ in labor.
I love saving money!!!!
I just turned them 4,000 miles ago and they warped again. (Yes, I torque wrench the lug nuts) The new ones are a lot thicker compared to the 145.000 mile turned once originals.

I make sure I'm buying a branded names premium line. Some of the no name imports or even the branded products budget lines are somewhat suspect.
