Just subscribed to Alldata. Just wondering what is the Lexus stand on TSB or campaigns. Can one drive into a dealership to get all the TSB and campaigns done if it already has not been done.

After all these TSB or campaigns are issued by Toyota, it must mean that the factory "auhorised" these adjustments to be made so regardless of the miles, they should still do it.

 

You cannot just go into the dealer and say:"do all the TSB's and Campaigns"
A TSB is just a bulletin, it doesn't mean that your car has this problem. If your car does have that particular problem, take it to the dealer and describe the problem. I guess you can mention the TSB. A Campaign is something that should be done, so while you are there, ask them if the car has any uncompleted campaigns.
Dealers tend to frown on people bringing their car in there JUST for that, sure, they'll work on your car, but service may not be the best. I recommend you add an LOF in there if it's nearly due.

The TSB only covered 4 years/50k miles which ever comes first and its depends on the vin# of the vehicle. For example if the TSB called for a 2005 LS430 and prodution change is JT####1000003 and your 2005 LS430 vin# is JT####1000004, then your car is not fall on this TSB because Lexus did an update the part or did some change from the factory.
