Throttle Position sensor HELP ASAP PLEASE
Well, just talked to Lexus today and they said I have a shot TPS. Im a DIY'er (as well as a broke 18 year old ), and my neighbor is a lead mechanic at Lexus and has offered me his help. My question is, is replacing the TPS a job that can be done at home with your average tools or does it requiring any special measuring or anything of that sort?
My 1994 GS300 is currently throwing a code. The TRAC light stays on while I drive and the check engine light will appear a few times throughout the day. I was going to have my friend pull the code at his work but all the computers they have are only compatable with OBD II, and at this moment in time I dont have the 100$ lexus charges for one hour of labor, just to throw away like that. So my question is, does anyone know of a good shop that charges less than Lexus to pull a code? Prefferably on the Eastside (Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond area). Thanks.

Lead Lap
hey you're right in my area.... anyways.... my TRAC light came on and it turned out that one of the little pins in the sensor slipped out and caused it to go off(very common) I however do not know where the sensor is located.... if you can find that info, go check it out. good luck!
