Default Windshield Wiper Question

Has anyone heard of your windshield wipers lifting up somehow? Bluelex told me there was a way to do this on the GS400? I guess to clean under them they lift up Is this true?

I think all cars have this. Just lift them up so that they point straight up in the air towards the sky, its that simple.

I think he is talking about pulling the wipers so it's not tucked under the hood, then lifting it up to clean the wipers or the area just below the hood.

Tony, I don't know if this works for your GS, but for my ES, I would put both hands on the passenger wiper, and slowly apply pressure to slide up the wiper along the windshield until both wipers lock into the upper position. This is what we call "winter" mode where the wipers can then be lifted up and out of the way from the car to clear away snow/ice. But since we live in FL, that don't matter at all...

If you follow what lexusk8 mentioned.....you will be able to clean them. That feature is also explained in the owners manual.

It happens with all "universal" blades. They are never cut exactly to the size that your car runs on the dealer/stock blades. I got mine from costco, and the passenger side blade is about a 1/8 inch off.

Thank you sir, but unfortunately they don't have refills listed under SC300/400

Anyone know which other Lexus model refills will fit in a SC3/4?

But thanks so much for this site! They have great deals compared to most dealers, I am going to buy my LS430 washer nozzles from here!

Call your dealership and get the part numbers or find them online, then use those to search for them at the dealership. Trust, me...they have them. Same thing happened to me.

Insert, Wiper R 8521430250 $4.48

Insert, Wiper L 8521433050 $4.63

Those are for 1997 SC300.
