this might sound kind of dumb or it has been discussed before....but if you hv yr engine light "on" and need to smog your car,
just unplug the battery for a few seconds to reset the ECU and get the car smog within a few hrs before that engine light comes back "on" again....and you will pass!!!..that's what i did ystry and it worked!!!

as you know, most common problem with engine light being "on" is the EGR system...which either needs cleaning or replacing...
