I am trying to remove the front rotor of my 98 ES300.
I have the caliper and the caliper bracket removed.
There doesn't seem to be any screws that are holding the rotor.
I sprayed WD40 around the bolts and the back of the rotor to see if it may loosen it but it won't move at all.
I tried hitting it with a mallet but nothing.
Am I missing something here?
I looked at a few links of rotor removal but there were for the LS400 and they mentioned a screw being removed. I don't know if the ES300 has one or not.

Any hlep would be appreciated.

 

On the "hat" area of the rotor, there are the holes for the lugs, then there are other threaded holes. Find a bolt that screws into one of those other holes and just keep tightening, it will force the rotor off.

Are the bolt for these holes a standard bolt that I can buy at a Lexus/Toyota dealer?

If your car has a screw, it would be between the wheel studs. When I removed my rotors to upagrade to cross-drilled rotors I just beat the crap out of it to pop it out. It is just baked on. Keep on spraying WD-40 and hitting the rotor, it will pop off.

 

The metric bolt thread on the RX rotor is M8 X 1.25... A length 20-50MM long should do. A quarter of a turn at a time per bolt as you press the rotor free. An additional mallet tap may be needed.

 

If it doesn't budge, most mechanics use a Impact driver. Which is basically a huge bulky screwdriver that turns when you hit the end of it with a mallet or hammer. Good luck

I was able to get the screws from a local Lexus dealer.
They don't sell these but the Parts personnel grabbed a few for me an gave them to me at no charge.
Anyway, they worked well.
The entire job took me 1.5 hours to replace both front rotors and pads.
