Anybody around the OC California area have any recommendations for indepent service guys to do minor work (preferably in South OC area - Irvine, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Lake Forest, Tustin)??

Having just blown a large chunk at Irvine Toyota on the timing belt and water pump, I need a CV boot replaced and possibly a trans-pan gasket (they wanted an additional $600+ for those two) replaced.

I seriously can't afford much more of this since I'm not exactly Harry Potter under the hood - starting to wonder if I made a bad decision choosing this over a newer Accord.....

 

My friend has a shop in Westminster. I hand all difficult work that I can't do myself or lack the tools. PM me if you are interested.
