let me know...

if the screwdriver doesnt work, try shoving a smal piece of 2x4 in between the 2 pulleys. see if that works.

The screw driver didn't work.... I'm gonna have to continue this tomorrow when its not so wet and cold outside. There's got to be some special tool for this.... it is rediculously hard trying to get that nut loose without proper leverage.

oh and how do I know how loose to set the tensioner at? I dont want to over tighten or anything again... is it just gauge by eye or feel?

when you can push down on the belt, and it has about 1/2-3/4 inch of play its tight enough.

i am pretty sure that is the tensioner. try sticking the screwdriver through the hole on the tensioenr pulley and brace it agains the engine block. that shoudl give you the leverage you need. then put a friends hands on the screwdriver while you pul onthe ratchet.
