I changed the oil yesterday and I used 5.1 quarts. I will check the level later to see where it is at.

I've been using 6 quarts for a while and I think the increased pressure caused my rear main seal to leak from the additional oil pressure, it routinely left a few drops of oil on the garage floor.

my oil change place today put in 5 quarts, I'm considering measuring out just 1/3 of a quart extra Mobil1 and adding it myself, and then checking it every day after it's been parked for the night. Maybe the 6 quarts is the issue.

Out of all the chitter chatter about this, no one mentioned that the car has to be on a relatively LEVEL surface to check any of the fluids, especially the engine and transmission. A small slope is going to give an erroneous reading.
