hi everyone...
i just bought my car a few weeks ago from a private owner and i was told that one of the wheels (LSportline) is leaking air b/c it needs to be rechromed i think. After a week of having the car, i notice the tire sensor lights were on so i went to the gas station to pump air in it and after doing so, all the measurements were about right (less than 51psi). my question is, when after putting air in the tires, does the sensor automatically goes off or do i need to reset anything. when i called the dealership to see if they could help, they wanted to charge me $100 to plug it up to there machine.
so if anyone can help..its so greatly appreciated.
thanks

Welcomes to CL and congrats on the SC.
If the air leaking from the chrome around the lip then they will have to break it down and clean up the lip. Sometimes you will have to reset the tire pressure sensor and sometimes it is a pain in the neck to do it.
If the manual reset doesn't work, then they have to hook up the scan tool to see how each sensor react with the change of pressure(monitor the each sensor). Good luck.

There's no reset buttom. You have to turn the key to 'ON' and then inflate the tire pressure for at least 6-10 psi on each tire. After you turn the key on, you will have 15 seconds to start on the first tire and after that you have 3 minutes to complete.
