I have had a whining noise that is very apparent in the cabin especially when the windows are up and radio is off. This is only noticable when in drive or reverse (in motion). I also noticed that when accelerating, the noise get's louder as the RPM's increase. I also noticed that the car vibrates right before the tranny shifts. When I am in park, I can rev the motor up and the car vibrates at certain RPM's although there is no whining in park. Does anyone know what may cause this? I am guessing the two engine and single tranny mounts. I have 178k miles on the car. The timing belt and water pump were just replaced during a recent major dealer service. The power steering pump just started leaking but very little right now. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
