Default rear cupholder removal?

Before I just have at it with a screwdriver and try to dig the broken thing out, thought I would ask.

Does anyone know the least invasive way to remove the cupholder in the rear armrest, easily?

Thanks!

From the factory manual, it looks like you can just pull the whole cup holder straight out of the rear center armrest. The manual is not showing any apparent screws that is holding the rear cupholder in place.

You will have to break the sliding part(cup holder ifself) and you will see two philip screws that hold the base to the armrest. Please take a look at the new one and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Glad VVT-i came to save the day!

I'm starting to realize that the factory Lexus service manual isn't as complete as my old Acura TL service manual (at least that told me where every screw and clip is). The Lexus manual is a bit more cryptic. . .

I know, sometimes the RM is sucks, because it was written in Japanese and then translated to Jinglish( Japanese+English). We have the same problem to try to figure it out on WTF are you talking about( not just you) on some of the Diagnostic or troublem shooting. I mean we have to translate Jinglish to English and then translate it into the everyday language , so everybody can understand...
