2012 IS 305C 36k miles

I bought a Walmart Everstart Maxx 24 700 amp battery to replace a failing (same battery) one that lasted 4 years. The new one seemed to work after being installed but now a month later (I don't drive the car much in the winter) I tried to start the card and nothing. Everything is dead. Now I should point out that it's been very cold in North Texas but I have a similar (older) battery in my Tacoma and it's still going fine. I just put a charger on it and the amp meter pegged just like it you touch the two leads together.

I'm thinking this is a bad battery and I should return it for a replacement. I have the receipt and it's only a month old so I think I'll have to pay little or nothing to replace it.
