Default Cruise control question

Just took delivery of a 2024 LX Luxury. Made one trip so far and have a quick question on the cruise control. I found that the cruise control does not control exactly at the set speed. It will drop 3 or 4 mph, hold it there, then eventually shift to try to bring the speed back up to the set point. Every other car I've had would do whatever it takes to hold the set point exactly (shift, throttle, etc.). If power was lacking, I would understand this behavior. But with the LX, it should be able to adjust enough to avoid speed decreases before adjusting. Not a big deal but just different from what I would have expected. It was in Comfort mode, so wondering if it changes the transmission mapping vs Normal to delay shifting which would explain the behavior I observed.

Regarding my post above, the behavior noted occurs only when going up moderate hills (not overly steep)

Ok....solved the issue noted above for the cruise control. It turns out the loss of speed when the cruise control was on was due to a setting that automatically slows you down in turns. The setting was set to the maximum sensitivity level. The trip where this occurred had lots of turns and bends. While going up the hill with cruise set to 70 mph, when I would go around the bend, it would decrease the speed according to the setting. I had not linked the road configuration with the phenomenon noted. Anyway, all is good and glad I could turn off or at least decrease the sensitivity of the curve nanny for speed control.
